This weather is nuts!!

Yesterday I thought that as I was sliding sideways in the Jetta at 30 trying to avoid hitting some drug dealer in a Mazda. Thanks SCSU for never canceling class for snow, I'll make sure to slap the bill for any damage down on the deans desk.

Now today we get like 4in of rain, on top of 2-3 of ice/snow. So everything is flooded!

Ahh New England, love that rain! I think I'll go to FL for spring break.

I'm about to ****** lose it. It can get 40 below for all I care, but I can't stand all this s*%# on the roads. For the past 2 months Wichita refuses to stay dry for more than 3 days at a time. The slushy stuff drops, road crews salt the roads, and I get pissed off.

See what I mean

You sure about that Hattie? Come on up for a visit, pints are on me. Bring your parka though, it was -20C this morning, without the wind chill...

Zeus, please don't invoke the windchill debate again. Grapir is just itching to hit you on your parka covered head with his high school textbook.

And are you still mulling over a move to the Carolinas? I think I remember a thread about creepy bugs or something strange.

Lol...move your butt up here when the wind is howling and then tell me there is no windchill effect!

Yeah, still on the table (Carolinas). Looking less likely though - it would be a huge uprooting of everything we've established up here.

Dude, you would love it here. Everyone else does! It even snows once in a while to remind you how it is... It snowed last night but it'll be back in the 50's later... Think about it: No more survival mission every time you go out anywhere in the winter! No more suiting up in sno-mo suits, huge mittens, tuque, goggles, long underwear and boots EVERY time you want to go outside!

I don't miss that stuff a bit!

Another ice storm here in southwest Missouri; my power was out overnight.
Ice storms are the most beautiful disasters... and in slow motion.

Last year my power was out for 15 days in dead winter.
