Disneyland Princess

We are in disneyland right now. I havent been here since I was a kid. This place is cool but the most impressive things in the whole park are the princesses.

My middle daughter Emi, shes 5 is totally amazed with Ariel from the little mermaid. Disney has special area's for little girls to talk with all the princesses. These little girls believe they are talking to real princesses.
I'm completely amazed at the effort this place goes to for little kids.

So if a disney princess posts on this board. Thankyou!

We were there last November and what struck us was that despite the high child:parent ratio, there was very little "running amok" or other misbehavior by the rugrats or even the teens. There must be something in the water.

I still dig the place. I'm just a big kid at heart and I haven't been there often enough for it to get old. (My brother's in-laws are just outside Orlando and they go everytime they visit-that's probably too much).

I haven't been able to take our kids down yet. Anytime withing the past 7 years or so I've either been broke or had an infant in the mix. My youngest is about 19mo now so I'm thinking next year we might finally make our version of National Lampoon's Vacation.

One of my kids went to a recruiting function in which interviewees were potential princesses. My kid (early 20's but looks a lot younger) said she was very impressed by the interviewer -- a former princess herself. The kid may follow-up, she's had that Disney-awe since she was a toddler. I never got it. Dunno why.

OMEGAMAN,

Did you get on the list to have a chance to stay in the Disney Castle Suite?
That would be cool. My brother took his GF and her daughter to a special breakfast they have in the castle. I think it was a princess breakfast.

Last time I went, I checked out the websites first and pre-booked a cool thing at Epcot for me and my wife. We got to ride the Segways and tool around the world showcase before it opened to the general public.

Me too Bot. Our one trip to the park left me a little uneasy. The regimentation and military like systems they use to control the visitors was just not to my liking. I know they have to control the chaos, but I always had that "Big Brother" feeling everywhere.

not just a princess, Disney effect

My younger daughter was about 5 and was way into Little Mermaid and all the Disney videos. We were heading out somewhere so I said..."time to go Princess". She turned around, hands on hips, and told me " I am not a princess, I am your majesty"... 8~)

She is still trouble.

LOL! I've got one daughter. I love her to death. I'm glad I have one daughter.

I'll have to look into it for next time. Today is the last day for disneyland. Next it's off to San Diego fro sea world. Need to find some good fish taco's. If it warms up I would like to stick my feet in the sand.

Hey I just realized you're in CA not FL. I haven't been to that park. The San Diego Zoo is the best one I've been to anywhere though.

My wife is a photographer and works with the princesses a lot. They get along great. I'll pass on the word.

Yeah, I've started tinkering with the Delorean, tried to get the 190D running...but TheDon helped me break parts on the motor...so everything's going up on ebay. Delorean parts aren't cheap.

I can't wait until I get to go out to Disneyland. I worked at Disney World for about 5 years or so. I worked at Disneyland Paris as well, which is where I met my wife. Man, I gotta admit, Disney sure can pick 'em!

We went last summer. My youngest is very into Princess Jasmine and wanted to get her signature in her journal. Well the line was long so we told her we would get it later. Well we couldn't find her the rest of the trip and my daughter was CRUSHED. We were literally walking to the gate to leave on our last day when Princess Jasmine came walking by and my daughter ran over to get her signature. Well, Jasmine not only signed her journal, but took my daughter with her on one of the rides! She was thrilled to say the least, it was awesome.
