Makes you wonder what keeps driving this type of person until he does finally kill himself.

I hesitate to bring up bad memories Kuan, but do you have any thoughts on his lifestyle ?

Adrenalin junkie. My guess is that a guy like this knows it's gonna be his demise one day. I give him credit though, looks like his life wasn't a waste like some peoples lives. I felt the hair on my arms stand on end when he was free climbing that rock face and jumped to grab the next hole. He was like 1000 feet up!

I met Dano in 1989 while up on the North Shore. We all had roughly the same climber dude lifestyle. He was famous in the Tahoe area, specifically a place called Cave Rock which he helped develop for climbing. We all had a live to climb attitude. As expected, marijuana usage was common. He was no different than some other basejumping lunatics. I remember one time we were all sitting on top of a rock digging our hands into a watermelon which we had hauled up as a treat after a long climb. Someone pushed him off the cliff as a joke. He started tracking.
