True, but he's still in the race. I made a campaign contribution a while back and I get emails from the campaign. Paul hasn't withdrawn from the presidential race and won't until the convention, but right now he's more concerned about getting re-elected to his congressional seat.

If he's not on tv, he's not in the race.

I think so. I hope so. At any rate, wouldn't be his first time, IIRC. Damned if I want to vote for Hillary ObaMcCain.

Obama is going to sweep in. Nader will get a pulpit, not a large one, and that's about it.

McCain is a charming fellow, who is on the wrong side of the nation re: the war in Iraq.

RP may please Liberatarians in some regards, but his remarks on military intervention/folly, such as with Iran and Vietnam (IIRC), aren't what one usually hears from a Republican of any stripe. He's virtually a lefty in that regard.

Only a fanatic votes single-issue. The rest of us vote in our self-interest.

Welcome to the fringes of political power. Try getting preference voting in. Then, and only then, will third parties have a chance to make a difference.

^^^^^Is that supposed to be an attempt at humor or is it schoolyard name-calling?

It's the truth as I see it. Obama is looking for a way to get selected by the surrender party. he who promises to surrender first gets the nod -- that's why he's beating Hillary like a timpani.

How do YOU define surrender - the dictionary gives several meanings.

In no sense could you truthfully posit the Democrats' meaning of the word to suggest that the US troops give up and turns themselves over as prisoners of
war; yet - that is one very valid definition of the word "surrender" isn't it?

If you mean it that way, it suggests a pretty shallow comprehension of the views of the Democratic party platform I would think - or of the definition of the word "surrender".

Or else Hannity/Savage/Limbaugh/Coulter name-calling. What say you?

Like a "Timpani", that's a good one. But I prefer "like the family mule" or "like a red headed stepchild" myself

Hillary's position is the most responsible of any candidate of either party.

The voters want out now though.

Obama either does not realize the folly of such a quick withdrawal or does not care about the results on the ground as long as he gets elected.

They will say whatever they feel they need to say to get elected.
Once elected, they can change their minds and do what they want - which is why they sought the job in the first place.
