I still don't get the Mac fanaticism. I use a PC and a Mac at work. Both have their issues. Both perform well.
My home PC is a gaming system I built, and I've been running Vista (Ultimate, 32 bit) since it came out. ZERO problems. I've been using the included firewall and Defender (which is an excellent little program, btw) and the free AVG antivirus. Not a single problem yet, no viruses, spyware, etc. I like how you can configure everything in Vista. Things like Windows Update, where it doesn't force updates on you for things you didn't ask for (unlike Apple's current direction...you will like Safari...you will like Safari...you will...etc.). Apple's idiotic 'aren't we so clever' TV commercials are realy getting to me. They're stupid and nerdy and more than a little repetitive. Also inaccurate. A recent one spoke about 'how Macs work because they build everything inside the Mac, unlike the poor PC which has parts from everywhere'. So...how about the nVidia video card? Or the Intel chip? Hmm.... I personally have no real preference between the two but branding PCs as universally useless and Macs as universally trouble-free is a tad untrue, IMHO.
