What do you do for fun?

What do you do for fun???

When I am bored, I like to drive roads that look like this:

In this:

My Sportline 300TE.

I figure its better than playing on the Xbox or Computer for hours on end...

Now, what do you guys like to do for fun?

Post a picture of what it is you like to do if you have one...

Several times a year, I go on a long sightseeing road trip in my diesel-motorcoach RV, covering several thousand miles. Running the Interstate highway system is following a semi-across the country.......why do that?
I've been doing month long duration excursions for years, but am going to start 1 to 2 month trips, now that my workload has changed significantly the past several years.

Well, I guess in a similar fashion, I drive on roads like these:

What do you mean you can't see the road? Alright, maybe it will help if I show some where I'm actually in the process of driving...

Sometimes with friends:

And sometimes to get to places like this:

Those are the roads I travel for fun. I do other things too, but this was just sticking with the theme.

Its autocrossing for me with the old nail 84 280e euro!

I just picked up my new slicks for this year on Sunday.

Can't wait to get my limited slip installed and burn up those mustangs and camaros in ESP SCCA SOLO.

Land's boring, yawn its got no give.

Racing Star's.

IMHO the larger stuff is more exciting!

Afraid of heights?
Tacking while you are up their is really fun. You go up in a climbing harness, no whimpy chairs, and you better remember to jump around and keep your line clear.

In winter time this is the new play ground!

Frank, back in the early 1980's I worked in the high desert, east slope of the Andes in Argentina (south of Malargue). I may have mentioned this to you previously, if not I should have.

Anyway, a herder who lived near where we were encamped had large dogs with a conformation like yours on your webpage. They were hip tall on me -- say about 3 ft or so. The herder used them to manage his goats I guess, but also to hunt rheas -- a large land bird that runs extremely fast (we chased a flock cross-country in a Toyota 4x4 pickup at probably 30 or 40 mph -- hard to tell when your head is banging on the roof). I understand that the dogs hunted in a small pack - 4-5 animals. Though I never got to see them hunt, I did eat the rhea!

At the time I thought they were a cross between an afghan and a greyhound. Think it was your boys?

On the Rail

I LIKE Hatterasguy's second picture.

I don't like it when it's so cool you have to wear foul weather gear.

Hey Justin if you like those kind of roads you should get an MR2 or a Miata to supplement your Mercedes. It may not sound like your cup of tea but 2400 pound, RWD, ~140HP cars are really freakn fun on backroads like that.

I make 3 trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado a year to ski. I even "studied" up there for a semester last year. I ski on Vokl AC4s at a length of 175 cm, perfect for the fast blue runs that I like.

My Summers are spent at the family weekend lake house at Grand lake, Oklahoma. The fleet consists of a Formula 400ss, a 25' Mastercraft wake board boat, and 3 PWCs keep me busy.

During the rest of the time, I'm looking around estate sales for mid-century modern furniture, playing Tennis, and chasing tail, usually unsuccessful, when appropriate. I like car shopping with friends and family, haggling with salesmen, a former one myself. I'm also a closet Star Trek fan.

I need a new set of Vokl's, those are pretty. Maybe I will buy a pair this summer.

Vokl's rock, they are so much better than that French crap my friends use.

911 Turbo.

911's are fun on back roads, but at least if you screw up you won't get to see where your going.
