I was actually a DJ before, during and after disco. The funniest damn thing is when I would put on "Disco Duck" at around 2AM on free beer night. Right when all the drunks were getting down, I would fire the runway grade strobes and watch them fall off the dance floor and throw up. Thanks for the memories.

In college, I made a movie parody with 3 other guys and a few ladies from the local night scene...Saturday Night Beaver...which just about summed up Disco and its related minutia (coke, weed, sex, bad dancing, bad clothes, bad hair, bad breathe, fake names and addresses, etc...).

Ran on the local cable-access and on campus...didn't generate any name recognition, but folks remembered my car ('69 Chevy Caprice)...

(You know that you SUCK as an actor when folks remember the wheels and not your character or face! )

We filmed it at a local "disco" club - owner thought the movie idea was a riot...we smoked the dance floor so bad with the fog machine that we had to mop the floor up before he could let anyone on it...probably the first time the floor was ever cleaned...

Hey Whiskeydan...thanks for bringing up the lyrics of those two songs...was the "Boogie Shoes" song out in '78/'79? I thought that came out in the 80's...

But, what do I remember? Too much...well, er....yah, right...I had the car...everyone else had the chicks and the other stuff...

(Never did get paid for the gas I used in making that stinker!)
