Wife got rear ended
Well actually, her car did. She was sitting at a dead stop at a red light at the time.
This was her 3 month old ML550. She is emotionally devastated, but not injured. The car, OTOH, needs some work. Bumper, hatch, mufflers & pipes, perhaps some suspension components. The other driver was in an '08 Dodge Charger. His air bags went off. His grill & radiator looked to be smashed in quite a ways, hood buckled, etc. Both vehicles required towing. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed.

I'm glas she's o.k. with exception to the emotional scaring that took place. PM JohnHef- he know's a good body man in Maryland.

Didn't Sammy Hagar have a song out there....
I can't drive my E-Fifty-Five..." Sorry about that...couldn't resist... Glad to here the lady is OK...but the very thought your automotive baby has been damaged...that just plain sux... Yah, like Dynalow asked, just how old was that pube driving the Charger? Too much car for the amateur to own? Never really learned how to judge distances and how the brakes really work on a car? Where's a real officer that fire a warning shot into these dunces? Good luck with the repairs...if the clown has insurance, make sure you get official Mercedes parts and it's painted with official Mercedes paint...nothing else will do... Then, go over to his house and kick his @55 for us, too!

The other driver was at least my age, probably even older. The car was actually an Enterprise rental. The driver seemed very scatterbrained, or clueless, to me. He never got out & asked my wife if she was OK, to say nothing of apologizing for smashing his POS rental into my wifes motionless Benz. When I first arrived on the scene & approached him, his first words were "Are you an investigator?" When I informed him that that was my dear wife he smashed into, he just clammed up. I let the cop get his info & supply it to me.
As far as my thread title, well, I'll change it if more that one person indicates it offends them.
