If you use USB the you need the proprietary Motorola driver/software...........for Bluetooth you just need the software that comes with the bluetooth interface.

Or, if you store the images on a micro-SD card in the phone you can take that out and use the appropriate size-enhancing adapter to plug it into an appropriate card reader and deal with the images directly rather than with the phone plugged in. My phone has the microSD slot right on the side, so this is a convenient method....if its like behind your battery or something (it is on the KRZR) then that may not be a good solution and the USB cable would be better.
Motorola phones use the standard micro-USB plug/port, and windows will generally auto-install the drivers for the phone so you can access stuff on it. I found that to be true with my fiance's KRZR.....it charges off the computer too....in fact, I can charge it off the USB port on the stereo headunit in my car!

You can also email the pics from the phone to the computer. Depending on your type of service plan this may be expensive though...
