REALLY Off topic---RV rubber roof help

You guys ( and gals) have never failed me yet--so here is another opportunity....

I need basic, truthful ( meaning advice from someone who is not intent on making money off of me!) advice regarding RV rubber roof maintenance.
The white color is off of the rubber roof on my 10 year old 5th wheel, and I want to make it white again--both for weather-tightness, and asthetic reasons.
I see products that vary in cost all over the place, and in coverage--some require a primer, some don't. Some cover as little as 12 1/2 SF per gallon!!--and a gallom costs $25 or so.

What can you tell me?

Thanks!

Not sure about the whites, but I did use a pretty inexpensive silver colored product to paint a torch down modified bitumen roof on a porch. It's lasted about 10 yrs so I am happy. It had solid particles of aluminium(?) that had to be stirred into suspension before applying it. I think the purpose of the product was to protect the roof from UV light. If all you're looking for is UV protection, then that product is ideal.
I once used Sno Roof as a temporary roll down coating on a failing rolled roof. Can't say if it worked very well because I replaced the roof within a year.

I should add that EDPM is not tolerant of any petroleum-based products. The use of such solvents will cause swelling and eventual failure of the EDPM rubber roof.

So the product you used is not suitable for my situation.

Thanks anyway, for taking the time to respond.

Anyone else?

Check out hypalon paint. Not cheap, but holds up better than anything in sunlight.

I can tell you I have a older Holiday Rambler myself with a white roof and what you really need is Henry's #287 white elastomer roof coating. It will go over a rubber roof and others as well. Seals up small leaks and reflects the heat off your roof. No primer required and you can roll it over shingles too. It saves me about $70 monthly in my AC bills here in Arizona!

Henry's #287 is available from your local Home Depot!

Can't help other than saying we rolled a new rubber roof onto a friend's RV. Saved enough money over the professional quote that he got a new AC unit too.
