REJECTING AND DENOUNCING....I'm pretty much willing to let John Cole have the last word on Jeremiah Wright and all the other lefty bugbears being peddled 24/7 by Fox News:

"And you know what? They may be *******s, or jerks, or whatever term you want to use, but they sure as hell didn't run this economy into the ground. They aren't responsible for turning a huge surplus into a several hundred billion dollar deficit. I have yet to read any memos from Barbra Streisand detailing how we should spy on American citizens.

....Maybe it is because I am totally and unrepentantly in the tank for Obama, but I just can't get worked up over what his pastor said. Maybe it is because I am not religious, and I am used to religious people saying things that sound crazy. Or maybe I just refuse to spend any more time and energy getting worked up over and denouncing, distancing, and rejecting the wrong people — people who really don't matter in the big scheme of things. If you have a memo from Jeremiah Wright to John Yoo showing how we should become a rogue nation, let me know. If you have pictures of Jeremiah Wright voting against the GI Bill, send it to me. If you have evidence of Jeremiah Wright training junior soldiers on the finer aspects of stacking and torturing naked Iraqi captives, pass them on.

Until then, I just can't seem to get all worked up about the crazy scary black preacher that Obama has to "throw under the bus.""

What he said.
What they said, except for the anti-religious stuff.

DC,
I guess we'll just agree to disagree, agreeably, so. Agree?

So if Bill Cosby were running on the same ticket, would you be in the tank for him?

I don't know whether I can agree with that.;)

Bill Cosby? I don't get the connection.

After reading the morning paper about Rev. Wright one could conclude that he does not want Obama to win.

I saw someplace that he might be jealous of Obama. This seems plausible.

If so, too bad.

Tea-leaf readers are getting jittery with possibilities.

I have read all kinda stuff varying from Tom's (above) to collusion between Obama & Wright. It's pretty weird how many ways people look at it.

I'll bet our opinions say more about ourselves than they do about Wright and Obama.

(I'm in agreement with Tom's opinion).

Wonder how long it will take him to figure what Bernardine Dohrn and William Ayers are all about?

And how 'bout that Dr. Quentin "Venceremos" Young??

Wonder who else was at those meetings??

Do you quiz people about what they were doing when you were 8 years old when you first meet them? I have yet to see anywhere any evidence (or mention for that matter) of when Obama learned of Ayers' past.

I saw a film about the SDS/Weathermen. God what a bunch of arrogant punks. Ayers said he felt the same way when he saw the film. He looked pretty arrogant in his mug shot.

However, I bear in mind that our gub-mint was slaughtering a bunch of peasants knee deep in mud at the time and plenty of us, RIGHTLY, believed it was insane and noted that govt. powers that be had about zero interest in that assessment.

People went way overboard, no doubt. I never did anything in the same hemisphere as that stuff and don't know anyone who did.

My religious training teaches me to forgive others and it's not like Ayers raped a child over and over.

You heard it here first: Billary is/are going to talk Obama into being VP, telling him that his chances of winning now are way slim, and that if he gets the nod now and loses, that could well be last chance.

OTOH, Billary are gaining momentum, they do have semi broad support, and they know that if it appears to the hordes of black voters who support Obama that he got stiffed by the superdelegates, could be too many of will sit on their hands in Nov. pouting. They need him.

Plus, they'll point out, rightly, that Obama is younger, was just a state legislator not long ago, and that 8 years as VP will give him plenty of time to put Wright behind him and then have a real shot.

WRONGLY ...

Communism was bound to burn itself out. And it did in what, 100 years?

That's short. The main charge at Nuremburg was unwarranted aggression. It was a civil war. It was none of our business. We blew nearly $1 trillion inflation adjusted on it.

Just whack.

Get over it.

Botnst 04-30-2008 09:11 PM

Ever notice whose great life-lesson is Vietnam?

Why don't you get over it?

Obama knew exactly who Ayers and Dohrn were.

He knew full well that they were communist terrorists, albeit incompetent ones. The fact is they are still unrepentent and active Marxists today. Any presidential candidate playing tiddly-winks with the likes of them should not be allowed to be dog-catcher, much less senator or president.

If I'm not mistaken, Dohrn's fingerprints were found in a bomb factory right there in Berkeley.

By the way, do you have any idea how many Americans the weathermen estimated would have to be killed because they couldn't be "re-educated"? Think in terms of 8 digits.

Nice folks, Obama's buddies. Wonder why he won't talk about it?

Excellent guesstimate. Besides, it seems that the whacky ol' Reverend just increased Obama's life expectancy ...
