The rover engine IS a buick v8. Many of the parts will interchange. In the newer iterations I am sure many of the parts are unique to the Rover though.

Howitzer, I guess I am a little slow on these nefarious dealings. Who makes the new ID plate and exactly how does that help them, please?

They get a stolen car, replace the stolen VIN with the "washed VIN" so they can legally title it. I don't know much about it myself but thats what I've read on F-chat.

But in this case its a salvage title, right? So how does that work?

Slap a "Kit car" body on that frame........maybe make a Gazelle, MiGi, or a fiber- fab VW . Take it to an Italian car show; proudly show how you used a Ferrari as a donor car That would blow some minds!
