I saw that on the news as well. I don;t care of only a few thousand are harvested a year. A bottle of wine (I don't get the prices for that either) can be stored and drank when ever but the melon has to be eaten soon after purchase.

Another case of more money than sense. Wish I had that problem.

I count myself as one of the lucky ones. I don't see much difference between a bottle of " 2 buck Chuck", and a bottle of 1987 Napa Valley pinot noir. Both taste great, but the price difference?
