Wow, I can't believe I haven't heard anything on the news. I guess I should check into my homepage every now and then. He seemed like a decent guy and relatively fair. RIP.

Just heard mention of it on ESPN.

That's sad. I didn't really watch him that much, but he's only four years older than I am. That sucks!

He always struck me as being a very intense person. The intensity must have gotten to him.

He came across as more classy and honest than most in the biz. Only 2 years older than me.

does anyone know the exact time he collapsed this afternoon? I was surprised to see he had diabetes. What a shame, his son just graduated from BU.

He was doing voice-overs for Sunday's Meet The Press and collapsed. Died on the spot. Too bad. Real journalism is at a loss. Thoughts to the family.....

Now I'm feeling like an idiot for not watching Meet the Press more often. I knew he was good, I just took him for granted.

His doctor said weight could have been a factor, that he kept saying he was going to start doing something about. No dig on him at all, Lord knows I've got some habits I have trouble breaking, but let this be a lesson to us.
