anyway to test a coil pack...??
My wife's Ford Expy has a misfire on #2 cyl. I thought it showed a different code last time one of the coil packs went bad. I was wondering if I could test that coil pack.

if they are interchangeable, why not swap out the coil back for the other bank and see if the code changes to a cylinder over there. If it does, viola problem found.

You don't have to remove them. Disconnect them one at a time. You can tell by deduction. If you can't remove the clips then just disconnect the injectors.

We ended up just buying a new one. Installed and problem solved. Thankfully it was the #2 and easy to get to.
