I got my house FINALLY

I got the keys to my (first) house last night!

First thing I did was return the garage to working order.

Here are some pictures of the out side.

The whole place needs love. every inch of it. so I'm starting by painting the inside and installing all new flooring. that will just about kill my home improvement budget. but its going to be fun. doing all the work myself with the help of my roommate and my friends.

here are some inside pictures.

THE GARAGE

I have a lot more pictures.

Congrats Nik, welcome to the joy, trials and tribulations of home ownership!

I'm envious you've got lots of space to fill! Looks like a nice wide lot. I wish mine was wider and shallower rather than longer and deeper.

Edit: I'm probably going to regret that wording.

Congratulations.

Looks like in photo #1 that one of your diesels has already marked its territory so it must feel at home already.

I'm hoping I have enough money left over after the flooring and the paint and the other small fixes it need to make it livable that i can build a fence on the left side of the house. there is just enough room to squeak a 126 through the side yard! in time i will build the fence needed on the left hand side and equip it with a gate big enough for a car, and the gravel a parking section in the back.

the house is on a culdesac so the only problem is limited parking. so I'm hoping to solve that with some parking out back.

Are you a "first time homebuyer"? Good news if you are.

Of course, it's really an interest free loan, repaid over 15 years at 500 per. But heck, it's free money to those eligible.

Good luck with the place.

I want to seal the driveway! I bought the sealer paint when I got my rental and never used it (land lord pissed me off) so I will seal MY driveway.

Despite your laundry list of improvements, from the pics, it appears that the home is in move-in and livable condition, so you can take your time on the renovations as time and money allow. Your garage has great potential too!

The BIG plus is that your outside green area is modest and requires little upkeep...nothing like using up precious free time engaging in landscaping and grass maintenance!

I don't surmise that you have a home owner's association..otherwise, beware of parking your F-150 outside!!!

Or at the very least try to find a "pulse" one.
