OK here it is... a Presidential Poll...

I am surprised nobody has put one of these up yet.

So who is it going to be?

Obama

or

McCain

You Decide

We'll see the poll results

A bit of clarification, please.

Do you want to know who we think will be our next president, or who we want to be our next president?

Once you enter the "who do we want," you will have to leave the current D&R candidates behind.

I haven't decided yet who I will vote for. It doesn't really matter, since the state of Illinois will go to Obama.

I'm thinking Barr, even though he does leave a bad taste in my mouth because of the Clinton thing. No, that's not a pun.

Its a lose-lose choice and a 3rd party doesn't stand a chance of winning more than 5% of the overall vote so it really does not matter. Many people aren't even aware there is a choice outside of Democrats and Republicans!

If Saddam Hussein Obama or McCain get assassinated before elections, we MIGHT get a chance at a decent candidate.

A vote for a third party is a vote for a voice. There isn't a chance for even 5% only as long as the lie is believed, that you are throwing your vote away.

Because either a Democrat or a Republican is virtually guaranteed to win the election, it is my opinion that a vote for either is the real wasted vote.

Sometimes I tend to think that way. I haven't actually wanted a Dem or Reb to win the presidency in since 2000 at the latest. On the other hand, as long as one major candidate is worse than the other by a big enough margin, I start considering voting for the less bad major party one. In 2004, I couldn't decide whether to vote for Bush (ie AGAINST Kerry) or for Badnarik and ended up deciding to vote Libertarian IN the voting booth. I forsee a similar tough choice this fall.

I decided to vote Badnarik long before I entered the booth.

There would have to be a major bloodbath in Washigton before you eliminated enough of the bad choices to get down to some worthwhile candidates, I'm afraid.

Say we got rid of everyone in Washington, who would be capable of replacing them? More of the same?

Pond scum? Maggots?

Get back to the one term and done, people who had to work for a living like our forefathers intended. Lifelong politicians, regardless of party, are too detached to know how the real world effects of their legislation.

Back to La-La land.
