My first car in HS was a T/A with W56 suspension, that thing would skittle over ruts in the road even when dry with stock Goodyear Eagle.

I recall test-driving a nearly-new '76 Trans-Am. Driving over expansion strips was not for the faint of chiropractor.

I had read in a recent Car & Driver magazine that the Caddy's handling was honed on the Nordschlief track at the Nurburgring, and it posted times that outran the M5. One more impressive stat after the other. If the car is that fast, I'd love to see what The Stig could do with it on Top Gear.

Here you go! Don't rust out to trade in the M5 or E63, just yet....

Yes Tom, an LS6 from a Z06 Corvette, rated at 405 hp. Responds very well to forced induction, and I don't mean Lance.

What's the weight difference of the Corvette vs the CTS-V? Does that engine have more torque in the CTS-V? It seems like it would.

The new CTS-V will have more torque (550 ft-lbs) than the Z06 (400 ft-lbs) but the Z06 is 1000 pounds lighter. They've done a great job keeping their sports car light unlike the Germans and the Japanese.

I agree.............they have maintained the essence of true sports car but the handling sadly remains skittish.

If Jeremy Clarkson read this, he'd be the first to ask if it still bongs every time you do anything with the car. At least that's what I remember from the previous Top Gear review of it on YT.

That isn't even the new CTS.
GM's latest cars have been pretty good. I don't really care that much about performance numbers though. Just hype until you get in one and drive.
