Question is how long would it last? Would it stay solid after 10 years like MB and BMW does?

What makes you think a MB or BMW willlast or be rock solid in 10 years? The old ones were built well and lasted; modern ones are very suspect. I would guess the Caddy will wear every bit as well as the Euros. American quality has gone up while Euro quality has gone down; I think they are very close to equal in the same price range. JMO
OTOH I think the Caddy is ugly!

Forget about 10 years...Edmunds has a CTS in their long-term fleet and have already complained about buzzes and rattles from within the cabin; it has approx. 11,000 miles on the clock.

Having said that, neither my '05 c-class, with 47,000 miles, nor my '82 TD with 181,000 miles, buzz or rattle from within the cabin. (well, the hardened 26 year old seat belt buckle plastic does squeak occassionally...but who could realistically find fault there)

Nice car though; I'd consider it.

Apart from pesky electronics, any MB or BMW will outlast the Caddy day in, day out. In terms of overall design and construction, there is no way a Caddy can ever be compared to a MB or BMW or for that matter an Audi. If CR reports are anything to go by, MBs don't have engine issues in general, they are horribly let down by the electronics controlling the engine and ancillaries.

That's like saying that apart from getting that pesky new hole in his head, Lincoln really had a good time at the Ford Theater.
