The serp belts are probably original.

I *think* cars sold from dealers have a 30 day warranty on them, might want to check. They should kick in for that poor idle problem.

You clearly haven't been to FL lately. They do a very good detailing and call it a day. No warranty. I've also come to understand that it's not all that difficult to clock the digital cars.........a $10K unit will do it just fine. Of course, this dealer would never even think of doing something like that............as he states........

The dealer did the Carfax.........not much info on FL cars. It's definitely a one owner vehicle..........the original paperwork is in the kit.

Well you should be able to determine the mileage by condition.

I'd still try to get some money out of him for it. Or at the very least neg him on ebay.

The interior is immaculate..........it's not a 100K vehicle, for sure.

I'm working on it.........to be sure.

Nice car, love the color. Not sure what to say about the rough idle. CEL on? If so, could be an 02 sensor, cats ? ICV? Hard to tell right now.

I would check out the coolant temp sensor (ECU)... I doubt the cats are bad.

That is a VERY beautiful car!

Congrats Brian, beautiful ride!

For a price like that, I wouldn't sweat a few repairs. That car up here, in a more advanced state of ferrous oxidization, would cost about $15K. Just to make you feel better.

Thanks fellows. I couldn't resist the mileage and the colors myself. It does drive impecabbly.

The coolant sensor wouldn't be much of a big deal...........is that done with the scanner?

If this is an OBD2 car like a 1998 Mercedes, Autozoo should be able to scan it. However if the CE light or any other warning light isn't on I doubt they will pick up any codes.

Hate to say it, but you need a BMW mechanic.

Yep........I know it. I don't have the time to completely learn another model vehicle.

No worries, Visa can fix it. You know its going to cost over a G note though....always does.

BMW of North Haven is probably pretty decent, since they are owned by the same people who own the MB dealer. One of my uncles always has 2-3 BMW's rented from them.

Time to find a trusy (perhaps crusty) BMW indy.

I have a few friends who are diehard BMW nuts. I will pick their brains about what they think is going on.
