Partial list of possible reasons to light a match:

1) Wood and tinder have been gathered and prepared in advance.

2) A candle has been readied to provide aroma or light.

3) Just for the hell of it.

Matt,

Just one question, are you that insecure with your faith that you have to always put down others be it atheists or believers of other faith or religion. If you are happy with what you believe in, so be it. Whats the point of criticizing others unless that compensates for your inner doubt.

Remember, part of the christian "contract" is that they are supposed to "sell" it to others untill everyone is ready to scream or go mad.

It's part of of their big "pyramid" scheme. It's supposed to get bigger as it progresses...

Gee...I must have missed that “…part of the Christian contract…”

I consider myself a Christian, but have never felt I had some “contract” or was ever part of any “pyramid scheme”, nor would I ever try to “sell” anyone anything regarding my beliefs.

If yours/theirs are different. Fine. So long as you’re happy and don’t try to “sell” me anything, we’ll get along just fine. And, with my utmost respect for your beliefs.
(So long as you don’t believe that you are supposed to kill me.)

I didn't want to get involved in any discussions (still don't), but I do find it interesting that you find it OK to push your beliefs and belittle Christianity.

IMO that's that is the equivilent as Matt's post, inflammtory and has no value.

Atheists don't recruit others. It's not a club or a belief. It's an anti-belief.
