That guy is great.

He's one of the ****s that got us in this mess.

You can have him.

How about this, ol' Warren and about 1,000 of his bestest buddies get together and put up their own focking money instead of indebting me further to protect his assets.

YEAH! Tell them Mr B.!

He may have screwed up, I don't know, but I think he is honestly interested in representing his constituents and doing what is best for the country. He is a partisan, but I don't think he is an idealogue.

Plus, you have to admit that he has a great way of expressing himself. I love the part where he offers to speak "uncharacteristically nicely" to the poor little Republicans. That's funny stuff, IMHO.

Those Germans, those Barbarians ... :D

"We" have already lost. $700bil is a drop in the bucket of what the Fed is going to pump in to the banks as "loans". It's all about consolidation, now the stocks are low enough to gobble up.

The Federal Reserve bank for example? Congress ceded all power to it and the executive branch. Besides, didn't you see what I posted? They issued the banks money anyway, many times over.

Good Lord, I find myself agreeing with you. Better check the planetary alignment and the temperature in Hell.

One more thing...it was the alleged King's party who helped defeat the bailout package.

So much for claim that the party marches lock-step with the Prez.

I thought you had reconsidered your position (at least partly) on Barney Frank after review of Howi's post last week:confused:

He's exactly an ideologue if you review that post and overlay it with what he has said the last week and a half.

When he is expressing himself, it seems I can hear a faint tap tap tapping sound in the background.:D

Like I said, he may have screwed up on Fannie and Freddie, but that doesn't make him a bad guy. He just screwed up on that one.

I don't see anything ideological about pointing out the silliness of Boehner's blaming Pelosi for the failed vote.

You lost me there. There's obviously a joke that I am missing.

Botnst 09-29-2008 05:59 PM

Made a lil' ol' $700 Bn goof-up.

It's all in good fun and he meant well.

Wow, no quid pro quo pity treatment there for the guys that 'screwed up' on Iraq, huh?

I didn't necessarily mean ideological regarding that quote (my mistake, I didn't look at your link), I meant on his "oh well, we'll fix it, if these mean old Republicans that are on my side will let us" mentality after he's one of the main culprits.

The joke was in poor taste and I don't think I'll splain it further.

Round up the whole bunch of 'em, freeze their assets, and have them air-dropped in the middle of Iraq with nothing but a pair of burmuda shorts and flip-flops.

That would satisfy me.

(Hee-hee - he said *****)!!
