Second, I am not aware of Barney deceiving anyone.Maybe I am misusing the terminology. I see an idealogue as someone who sticks with his position regardless of the facts. Finally, Buffett isn't pure in all of this either. Think he never benefitted from investment banking? Think it would hurt his interests if investment banks failed?

Again, as far as I know the bail out is not a hand out. It's a loan with a pretty good interest rate. I guess it could be called a sub-prime loan.
