Alright, I'll take the SEC, please.

Welcome to the shop. Before you give up on this asylum, check out the technical side. Unlike this forum, those guys know what they're talking about and are very helpful.

Welcome to the forum Tony. You've got a beautiful collection there. I'm a fan of green MBs too.

Do you have 2 sets of the pentas or do you swap them between the w123 and w126?

Bot, I liked your original post better. But I guess this oner is classier and less likely to offend.

He's new. I wouldn't want him to get the right idea about us.

i only have one set of pentas.
they were destined for the 123, but as you can see its been lowered a little.what you cant see is that the front wings are sitting on the tyres.
so the pentas were put onto the SEC in place of the lorinsers that were on it when i bought it.
the 123 is currently running the mexican hat alloys, but i do have a set of 15 x 8 steels with hubcaps to go on it.
the 15" steels and caps are really rare over here, and took some tracking down.

theres a typo there, its actually a '95.
and we got 124s up to '97 over here.iirc the last ones were all AMG models, dont quote me on that though.

a little tricky to explain, but il try.
the scene im into here has been hanging stuff off their tow eyes as a plagerism/ hommage to the japanese bosozuku/ shatokan style of cars, who hang a tokyo subway grab handle from their cars.
it kind of started with people running cars with chopped springs hanging a coil that they'd cut off.
i simply applied some lateral thinking and stole a bratz doll off my daughter, made a noose, and hung that off the back of the car.
theres really no reason why i do it, i just do.

first post was hastily put together before i went to work, now that i have a little more time il put up some pics of my former mercs.

the one that popped my MB cherry.
'82 200T

theres the 123, in the back ground, as it was before i slammed it.

my first 500 SEC

and a group shot.

the white 123 was a 230E and was bought for peanuts as a spares car.
when i collected it i deemed it too good to break, so i washed and polished it, put it through an mot, our road worthyness test, which it passed without having to do any work to it.
then promptly sold on for a profit.
thats getting hard to do now as prices for older mercs are currently on the rise here.
and the green thing, its not intentional, honest.

How common are these older Mercedes in the UK? I'm still waiting to see one show up on a "Cheap Car Challenge" on Top Gear. (At least they did the amazing 600 a few episodes back)

"Top Gear" destroyed an old Merc wagon in an episode. Answering the question of how much abuse can an old Merc take? Might have been a 124.

Aha! I finally found a post were the mighty Botnst is wrong. It was 5th Gear that featured a W124 wagon being destroyed. Even after they exploded a bomb in the engine compartment it still ran.
