I'm amazed at the types of trauma the human body can survive. I would never have thought you could live through such a thing as that.

Of course I know some people who, if they had had that happen, would have simply had their heads colapse . . .

Yes, you might survive. However, what state will you be in?

Must have happened awhile back. The extended story states that ten months after the attack, the victim enrolled in college...

Kollege for what? Were there any ill effects? I can't believe that there were no ill effects with such a serious injury.

Here's another. From a blog I found after googling images for "incredible xray."

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.boingboing.net/images/_ffximage_2007_04_19_JTSKULL_wideweb__470x285,0.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.boingboing.net/2007/09/23-week/&h=291&w=480&sz=57&hl=en&start=12&usg=__vrOwcd8aw09-6-V8wje0mDdf3N8=&tbnid=SrlgN-fWnI9Q1M:&tbnh=78&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dincredible%2Bx%2Bray%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX

Note to self: don't google images for "impalement xray" if you've recently eaten.
