Third Party

Well, with all the talk about third party candidates abounding in a couple of threads. I was just wondering wha the third party landscape looked like.

It looks like this...

http://www.politics1.com/p2004.htm

Is anybody considering voting for one or other of the 12 "third" parties in the election? If so which and why?

- Peter.

I hate to say it but third party voting is just a waste since we'll just have a repeat of the last election where the president wasn't even elected by popular vote...

damn the electoral college

Whichever one convinced Marilyn Chambers to run again. If all politicians suck, I'd prefer a professional.

By that token, it's also a waste to vote for any losing candidate. I think not.

I cannot, with a clear conscience, vote for anyone from any of the 2 major parties. Too many variables, too much history of corruption and conflicts of interest.

Third party for me. I haven't looked at their platforms so I don't know who it will be but someone with Ron Paul's ideas. Even Nader would be better than the two we have to choose from.

For me this election is like that Klinko game on the Price Is Right show where a contestant drops a chip from the top of the board and it lands in a slot ranging from $0 to $10000. The voters will drop their chip on election day and it'll either land in Obama's $0 on the far far left or the chip (or maybe it's a hockey puck) will land in McCain's $0 on the far right.

$0 is actually optimistic IMO.

Bot wins the Sexual Redirection award for his masterful attempt at derailing another political thread with some good-natured sexual innuendo on the fifth post.

Go, Bot! Wooohooo!

Barr-Root!

That's probably the route that I will go, although I don't particularly like Wayne Allen Root...VERY hard to take seriously. I would have preferred if Bob chose that woman that was a Libertarian candidate
