The Which Drudge Blare Project
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/10/the-which-drudge-blare-project-1.html
Three points: 1. No reporter should ever listen to anything Matt Drudge ever says again, period. He's done. Over. Toast. Proceed at your own risk. 2. The young woman who made up this story is deeply disturbed and needs help. She sought to inflame racial tensions at a point in our country's history when we could finally be overcoming some of them. That is a hideous sin, but rather than wanting to see her punished, I want to see her recover, because this is a cancer that we can no longer afford in our nation. 3. Conservative bloggers like Michelle Malkin who held their fire (edit: actually, expressed their skepticism) deserve credit for not trying to inflame the divisions in this country. I won't say this often, but thanks. My only hope is that they could be this honest more often. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a87/cmaq2012/atodd.jpg This would just be a sad pathetic story of yet another immature white ascribing blame to 'some black guy' except that Drudge, McCain, and Palin bought into the story to some degree, even with the "B" etched backward into the girl's face. McCain and Palin both called her to offer condolences and Drudge, of course, ran with the story in a big way. I don't blame McC/P. for this, but please, it had stink emanating from it at the git-go. Why so eager to jump on the band-wagon? In addition, John Moody, exec VP at FOX News, had this to say at his blog: If Ms. Todd’s allegations are proven accurate, some voters may revisit their support for Senator Obama, not because they are racists (with due respect to Rep. John Murtha), but because they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee. If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting. http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/23/jmoody_1023/ |
Hear! Hear! Hear!

Dan Rather either. All the media jumps on crap they want to believe, it's just that normally those bonehead media groups are liberal-biased. In this case, it's the right-sided media. Quote:
Not the first time - remember that chick who drowned her kids in the car and pulled the same "black guy" story? Quote:

So you're saying she was a plant by some Obama supporters?

I think her basic thinking skills might be suspect as well.

Yet another case of Ron Paul supporters saying, 'told ya so'. She was kicked out of a Ron Paul group a while back.;)

Let us assume she was (one in one million chance). Does this let Drudge, McCain, and Palin off the hook for buying into this obviously sad and contrived story? Or how about the FOX guy I quoted above. If Ms. The first sentence is truly remarkable. If this story was true, voters are correct in assuming that this tells them something about Obama?!? This would be like claiming that the pea-brained skin-head plot to steal guns from gun shops and shoot up black schools and then Obama himself may give voters pause to wonder if they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Republican nominee. And oddly, I've heard nothing more about the second sentence. |

The deceased colonel's secretary said the letter was a forgery but the information was correct. Oh wait, I forget, she's a democrat so she is invalidated as a witness. Bush is a lightweight in all directions at once. |

How do you think I got out early? I worked a deal. Early-outs are at the discretion and dependent upon the needs of the service. I lucked out. because I wanted to start the summer semester of college and my date of separation was July 13th. I filled-out a request, showed them the acceptance letter and my CLEP scores. They made a decision to let me out. That is NO DIFFERENT from Dubyuh. I ain't nobody special. During that time lots of people were getting early outs. Especially if they were trained for equipment & systems that were being phased-out. Or like me, my ship was going to the Med for 6 months and it saved the Navy money not to have to fly me home. Now that you know the system and how it works, you might cut the guys some slack. Probably not. B |
I stand corrected. However, I maintain that it was well known at the time that service in the guard was an easy way to avoid duty in Nam . . . . if you could get into the guard. And Bush was a major hawk on Nam.
My other point about his learning how to fly a jet in the guard is not affected by this news. |
