Time to protect your 2nd amendment rights!
And this is a good reason why! Obama has voted to restrict our 2nd amendment rights in every vote in the Senate and here's what he had to say before the final vote was counted!

I've been a member since the Clinton administration. I didn't even own any guns when I joined.

I'm fine with all of those restrictions.
And I'm going to enjoy all the NRA whackos going ballistic because they won't be able to buy an assault rifle anymore. Boo.....hoo....... ![]() |

My guess is that none of you can find a single vote by Obama to restrict 2d Amendment rights. Such a vote would be a waste of time and a violation of his oath to uphold the Constitution (I assume U.S. Senators take those).
Obama took heat from gun control advocates for saying that he agreed with the U.S. Supreme Court opinion that held that gun ownership is an individual right, not a collective right given to militias. |

My question is how do other countries in this world survive without guns? Iceland has the oldest parliament in the world but no rights to own guns. England has the second oldest parliament and restricts gun ownership, and, next to Japan, has the lowest gun crime rate in the world. India has the largest democracy and no private gun ownership. I think all the countries of Europe limit gun ownership and have very low crime rates and hardly any gun crime. How can this be?

Damn near impossible to own guns in Cananda and they have lots of gun crimes. Also have lots of stabbings and rapes and beatings that could all be stopped with legal responsible fire arm ownership. Home invasion robbery is a good time to own a gun. I don't give a good goddamn if he has a tv remote in his hand I'm gonna shoot. Does that make me a whacko?

kip,
actually, the country with that makes it mandatory for all adult aged males to own a gun has the lowest crime rate of any european country. look up interpol + crime rates + US vs europe and i think you may find that your guesses are not correct that said, there is more than just more than 1 factor than just gun ownership and its correlation to crime rate. id rather not go into one of my long posts as this is a topic ive studied quite a bit over the years. about assault rifles and law enforcement, i can only speak from experience as to the need for one: the LA Riots. my father started the largest korean american grocer store owner's association in america. after the LA riots, he got first hand information about how the police *did not respond* and allowed rioting and looting to continue. their mission (when they stood around) was to not piss the looters off. yeah, only later were people arrested, but for the most part, the cops came and left. most regrettably, they pulled korean store owners off their store roofs, esp if thy carried one of those evil assault rifles. we know the vast majority of those burned down thought the police were going to handle things. as we all know, they were wrong and quite frankly, the police and the city politicians did not give 2 s##ts. |
