Too bad...

I'd like to support mercedesshop.com. I wanted to order a caliper kit for my e300d, but can't get it shipped to Canada.

From past postings, there have been several folks mention other parts sources available for the northern neighbors. If you do a search for "Canada" and "parts sources", there are a few U.S. aftermarket parts suppliers but for brake parts, and similar maintenance parts, it would probably be easier, quicker and less expensive to use your home-based parts suppliers.

I use http://www.autopartsonlinecanada.com/, They are never priced like mercedeshsop (meaning they are higher), but our choices are limited, I have placed 7 orders with them and not one has ever been screwed up.

Jake,

I still need to get your reaming tool back to you. If a certain set of calipers were shipped to me, I could turn it around to you and throw the reamer in the box too... I'm kind of kidding but I would do it if it the resulting extra shipping didn't negate the extra value of buying from M-shop...

Check with Bens Lover here on the forum, he may be able to provide a place that will ship up there.

No one can get them locally, aside from the dealer.

Yeah I use them A LOT... especially when I'm in a pinch. With larger orders though, I find it cheaper to buy from the US and pay the shipping + duty.

With this particular part, they simply don't have it in stock, otherwise it would be a no-brainer.

FWIW, always dbl check your order from them: twice I have paid in full, but when the box arrives found that an item is "backordered". You have to call and get them to refund. They do it without hesitation, but you do have to be vigilante to make sure very single item was shipped.

PM sent!
It's just the caliper seal kit, wouldn't even weigh an ounce.

Found these folks on the net, have not done any business with them yet, but they have a Canadian department.

I know a great place that ships to Canada. But I feel a little funny posting it here. They really won't ship to you? Why?

Spoke to Phil yesterday, they're not able to ship to Canada at all. I have other US based car parts places I use, but would have preferred to support this forum. I've got a workaround solution for this particular part (thanks Evan!) but I'll have to order elsewhere go-forward

www.autopartsway.ca has had better pricing than www.autopartsonlinecanada.com on any orders I've placed. Another one I've used is www.autopartseh.com - they seem to have a slightly different parts catalog than the others and can have things that the first two don't stock. But most of my orders go through autopartsway.ca. I'd buy from this site instead if they would ship to Canada...
