Of course the guy is a fool (the guy with the dreads -- the first guy, maybe the other guy too). OTOH plenty of Aryan bro-hood types feel similarly about black people. Is it that unusual that a black guy here and there would feel the same way?

Is it usual that people feel this way? No. Is that a reason to do anything but repudiate it?

In reading the comments it does seem to be a double standard in with the "offending" business. Interestingly recently a few white comedians commented on how now they will feel the double standard as for years white presidents have gotten mocked. Now with a black president the playing field has changed.

I learned when I was young and still hold today to disagree with the statement, not the man who made it. Fear and loathing are given by your own permission.
