When MB PAID Cerberus to take Chrysler off their hands, I remember thinking that it was one of the dumbest business deals ever. (Topped only by MB's decision to buy Chrysler.)

Looks like a pretty good deal in hindsight, don't you think?

It was a bad deal, but there were far worse deals out there for them as a result of the big mistake.

I thought it was a good idea from the outset to sell them off even if they were taking a loss. It was like cutting off a stuck anchor.
