No its a house not a condo. My wife already called the maintience man 4 times now (i.e. me) to fix things like leaky faucets and such. Then I had to call to get the furnace fixed.

Good luck with everything. Becoming a homeowner is as life changing as becoming a parent.

All your priorities change.

Ah, the joys of home ownership!

I wouldn't trade owning for renting, but I'm hoping to get rid of my huge, suburban house with an equally big yard and buy something closer in to the city that is much smaller. Once the kids hve gone off to college, I don't want them moving back in.

I just moved back in to my parent's home. I didn't want to, but since I got kicked out of my old place, I had to turn to Economic Inpatient Care.

I did my part also. Splurged on a 42" HDTV, $900.00, two weeks later the washer freaked out and ran a flood through the laundry room, $1100+ for the new washer and flood repair, the oldest son went into the hospital for emergency surgery, $1500 to cover his deductible until he pays me back, yeah sure, my Matco tool dealer finally caught up with me for the year end closing sale, $800 for stuff I could have done without. I'd been ducking him for three weeks ever since I bought the TV 'cause I told my wife, "Don't get me anything else for Christmas because that's all I wanted".

That 3 drawer roll around cart just looked soooo lonely!
