Crazy expensive December/January

Okay so everyone has been saying "we need to stimulate the economy". Well I have been doing my part. December 12 bought me and my wifes 1st home and had to buy all the appliances, which are crazy expensive for anything of quality. Had to buy tools to fix things, which was fun. Then got my 1985 300D, cause it was a great deal. Of course we found a few of our things got ruined in storage such as my old cookware. So last night went out and bought brand new cookware. Well people I have done my part to bring our economy up

Cool. You'll get to do some more stimulating in Spring when you need yard maintenance tools. (unless you bought a condo)

No its a house not a condo. My wife already called the maintience man 4 times now (i.e. me) to fix things like leaky faucets and such. Then I had to call to get the furnace fixed.

Ah, the joys of home ownership!

I wouldn't trade owning for renting, but I'm hoping to get rid of my huge, suburban house with an equally big yard and buy something closer in to the city that is much smaller. Once the kids hve gone off to college, I don't want them moving back in.

I just moved back in to my parent's home. I didn't want to, but since I got kicked out of my old place, I had to turn to Economic Inpatient Care.

Most likely that cookware was made in China and the appliances in Mexico....even the "high end" stuff isn't made here. Its very frustrating. They're charging prices that COULD keep US workers building the stuff at reasonable profit, but instead they collect 10x the profit and build it elsewhere. Meanwhile.....poof goes the US job market....

Actually yes the cookware was made in China, not sure where the appliances came from.

Yea I know what you mean crazy xmas! I have done my share the past few months in helping the world economy.

Took my two kids and the girlfriend to visit my parents in South America in November, was there for a month. Then for xmas:

Older Daughter - 12 yrs old
PSP with various games
HP Lap Top Computer

Younger Daugther - 5 yrds old
Some toys , nothing much in terms of expensive

Girlfriend
New Vacuum - gotta make sure that she does the housework
Tiffinay jewlery set, necklace, bracelet and earings
Mac IBook Laptop

Just paid that CC bill today IN FULL, did not realize that I spent that much, ouch!!!!!!
