How 'bout in between there and that beer store?

It's in the low thirties in Washington and getting colder as the week progresses. Friday's supposed to be in the teens.

17 and dropping today.
Chance of snow tomorrow (only an inch or so)
High of 4 or 5 on Thursday.
AND the buses I take to work when its too cold to bike or walk aren't running, because all the students are home on break!
At least I'm not in Chicago

Winds here are SSE, off the Ocean. Temp right now is 42 deg. f.
Tomorrow it turns around to west. High here for Friday is looking to be in low 20's. Coldest in about a four weeks. Moderating Sat & Sun.
Ocean water temp off Cape May NJ is 40 deg per NOAA. Helps keep the temps up a little this time of year.

I took a motorcycle trip some years ago up ....in July.... ...around the UP of Mich. and down thru Wisconsin. Wondered to myself riding around the shoreline up there just what these folks did all winter. All I could think of was "Fish and F***"
Weather in Peshtigo WI where we rode thru right now is a whopping 4 deg. Feels like -15!!! OMG. Way too cold for noon time .

Hard country up there.

Yeah, February is a beatch. Most Canadians head south then, though I usually wait until May to trek down to NC.

Skiing, skating, stuff like that is fun. After a good snowfall, I take the boys out into the woods around our property and we find animal tracks in the snow and identify them. I do like winter, I just wish it was a bit shorter.

The other weekend we had a bit of snow, maybe 3-5 cm on the ground. I pulled my kids and their cousins around the property on sleds and an innertube attached to the back of my John Deere lawn tractor. Like waterskiing, only the frozen variety. Kids loved it. Then inside for hot chocolates by the fireplace (and rum n' eggnogg for the driver(s)).

I think being in a cold environment gives you a deeper appreciation for being warm.

I despise the cold but one of the best feelings ever is to come in from skiing all day, take your clothes off and put on some nice warm flannel PJ's and a soft, warm robe and sit down on a couch in the ski lodge in front of a fire with a cup of hot chocolate.

You get so comfortable and settled in that you don't ever want to get up.

Indeed it does make you appreciate the warm....temps have been falling today, we're almost down to 10F now.....with 0 in sight....and a lot more snow.

I'd not mind moving somewhere warm....could always come back and visit the snow sometime if I missed it.

All the CA people brag....but when it costs $400,000 to get a one room shack on the corner of crime and murder street.....its not worth it!

The amount of money people spend on a house in CA is amazing....the same $$ here buys you a small castle, with a big greenhouse, to simulate a warm climate!

We might have to turn on the heat . For you people up north or out west in all that bad weather come on down and visit. We have a B&B and it would be nice to see the driveway lined with some more mercedes

Down to 40 tonight and lower the rest of the week.

Colder than hell. My uncle is leaving for FL Feb 1, my grandmother is already down their. I can't wait until I can afford to spend most of the winter in FL.

Cold sucks. My hands freeze and are useless. Nothing works, equipment doesn't want to start or work, I don't want to start!

Winter is nice for like 3 weeks, after that 70 starts to look nice.
