Serious as an ingrown toe.

She tried a ploy and it failed. Like the Democrats blaming the the dragging death of that guy in Texas on Bush. Nice try but no cigar.

Toenail. Not toe.

Sorry.

An ingrown toe one could probably display profitably at a county fair.

Of all the things I don't like about Sarah Palin, I think the thing I dislike most is her habit of portraying Obama as anti-American. As the crowds at her rallies grew more hostile, she continued with her inflammatory rhetoric. I have no reason to think that she would want Obama hurt, but she didn't show any signs that she objected to her followers saying nasty things about him.

I am surprised that you don't see this as a serious issue.
I am still uncertain that the "kill him" was a real event, and not just the imagination of one Obama-supporting reporter. Once the reporters report a "kill him" menta;ity, it just grows because it fits the story they want to tell.

I want nothing ill to befall our President-- unlike MANY on the left who wanted all sorts of evil for President Bush. My "Many" comment is based on some of the rhetoric I read on these pages.

Do you deny reports that people at her rallies displayed hostility toward Obama, that threats against him went up after her rallies, and that she had to be told to tone it down? Do you deny the actual video of her inflammatory remarks? Does she bear no responsibility for her conduct or is it all the media's fault?

We used to have a news media that reported objectively; we no longer have that. Everyone has an agenda.

I don't know. All I know is that it was widely reported. When I raised this issue I asked what you made of the reports that threats against Obama went up after some of those ugly Palin rallies. Your initial response was to assume that I wasn't serious. You can agree or disagree with my conclusions, but a fair reading is that this is a serious issue.

I have no way of verifying the truth of the reporting. All I know is that I saw and heard Palin and her crowds getting really ugly. Then came the reports of increased threats against Obama. Make of it what you will.

Really? I didn't hear Obama, Biden, or McCain say the sorts of personal things that Palin said about Obama. It's easy to say that the media are biased and that all politicians are the same. To that, I say baloney. Palin is an ugly character, IMHO. Most of the attacks I've heard people make on her are fair, IMHO, some are unfair. Because of her conduct, she deserves every attack that's been made.
