C-280 heater not hot

My 1995 C-280's heater is not producing much heat. The temp gague is running a bit low compared to the normal reading which is about half way up the scale when the engine is hot. The blower fan and all controls seem to be working OK. Any suggestions?

It is cold here in New England!

if not- is it an easily replaceable item?
