Why does your windshield have two smashed places?

It's a long and ugly story:

Just drive it without the windshield, I'm sure a cop would think it's just really clean.

Wow.....so Cancerous Communist Republic of Kalifornia not only requires a windshield, but an A+ performing wiper and washer system as well. Our 300E would fail then, it doesn't squirt so much as a drop of fluid currently....soon to be fixed.

I'd go nuts dealing with all the evil rules and laws in california....yuck.

Just do it.

iwrock 02-20-2009 12:58 AM

I would just do it.....

How far do you need to go?

I'd do it with no questions asked. Heck, I test drive my cars down the streets with no tags, etc.. If you have paperwork that says you're getting a windshield, it should be a non issue.

Pawo, the People's Democratic Socialist Autonomous Oblast of Michigan and Affiliated Satrap of Ann Arbor have enough rules. Just drive at a place where a local cop or a state cop not drinking coffee can see you......:eek:

This reminds me of the scene from Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

You should see this just in case you get pulled over, good tactics by John Candy.

I drove sans windshield once. About a 15 mile drive and I followed a friend in his car. I kept the portion with the inspection stickers and stuck it in the proper spot in case the police saw me.

Oracle12345 02-20-2009 12:03 PM

Think Im gonna drive the car and take some risks :) and not waste a AAA tow

PaulC 02-20-2009 12:49 PM

I have one word for you: Windburn.

sunedog 02-20-2009 01:03 PM

So what do you pay for AAA these days? And what is your deductible for each tow?

Reason I ask is I dropped AAA years ago when I found out I could add towing to my car insurance for a reasonable amount. I currently pay a premium of $4.40 per vehicle per six months (so $26.40 per year for three vehicles). There is NO deductible when I need roadside assistance. Not sure what the details are for long distance tows, but they have covered $120 tow bills with nary a question asked.

I also get to choose any tow service I like. I'm not limited to AAA participating businesses.

Drove mine 5 miles to the glass shop with the badly broken windshield this morning.
