How to protect the gas grill without patio cover?

I have cemented slab on floor. Do I have to put something on that so that I can place the grill? If I use the grill cover without patio cover, don't you think it will get rust in rainy as well as high humid season? Answer please who have experience!

* - Gas grill cover. About $40.00.

* - Seal the concrete...an afternoon of slopping some stuff on the brick...about $40.00 and a few brushes and a few hours of your time.

* - Wax the rest of the grill and get some heat-proof grill-paint for rest of it. Stay ahead of the rusting and corrosion...

I assume the grill is not a stainless steel model?
