The Germans are racist as hell, they just put on a good front. The book I use in German class hates Turks. Its always the Turkish janitor and German engineer or doctor. Their is also a story in the back about how a Turkish kid can't have any chestnuts because they are German chestnuts, and all the kids laugh at him.
So far Hans Von Luck is the only one who wasn't racist at all in his book, he was very open minded. Guderian was pretty good to, I think he was to practical to be racist.

No doubt from that generation; but my German book was written in 2007 and is totaly modern.
I have no problem with it, because I understand where they are coming from. Things were different back than. What I do hate is when historical works are "sanitized" to modern tastes, you lose the flavor and a lot of the meaning.
