Who ever said Wanda Sykes was a liberal? She's a comedienne aiming at her perception of the target audience. If we really have to start censoring comedy, then we are all way too uptight. As far as comparing her comments to Feherty's, she was commenting on another entertainer, not elected officials, as he was. Rush is fair game, as an entertainer, as a loudmouth, and as the one who threw the first stone.
Find something real to cry about.

No one needs to tell anyone, you just need to listen to her. She's a well-known liberal. She's also another f'n idiot in the world.

I like to use it when my conclusion was verified and nothing more needs to be said.

I suppose it's similar to "asked and answered".........but in a different context.

A little bit of her goes a long way. The news bit I saw had someone indicating (perhaps many someones) to her that it was a bit much and she questioned back, "a little too much there?" as though she were getting the idea that perhaps she had gone too far.

C'mon, there's righties that venture into that realm all the time. There's even one from Minnesota in Congress! And Michael Savage drips his hate out day in and day out.

Who cares about Wanda Sykes? I heard a couple of black folks I know say they didn't like her. Don't know why. My personal favorite was O's comment about RE's salty language given the context of mother's day

Hate speech--please. Ted Danson got criticized for that in another forum one time that nobody realized was meant to bring about laughter.

I bet if you used the search function, you'd find that this is not a verifiable response.

Doesn't matter--just an observation.

There was a member who behaved in similar fashion a few years ago. Everybody was a "liberal" and his goal was to "irritate liberals". A real enlightened fellow. You should strive to be less like him.

BTW, you might not know that this was a correspondent's dinner where it was open season on the insults. Clearly, this woman was a bit over the top..........as judged solely by the reaction of the crowd. She crossed the fine line where it's just not funny............reason being is that she just might have been serious.
I don't think she was mean spirited at all when compared to Rush, Falwell and the likes..

And on your point, somehow "no-bid" contracts strike me as something "liberal" and not :conservative" in any way....

She's tame compared to what some conservatives spout. And she was delivering 'comedy' as opposed to the earnestness of some conservatives.

Clinton was a "liberal". He was the most fiscally responsible President in the past 50 years.

Still mulling over that "liberal" claim...........
