In Conclusion
Here's the deal, internal combustion engines are dying. There will be the day for anyone on this site who are less than 35 years old where you will see that you cannot buy a gasoline engine any longer. They just will not exist. Listen to 'Red Barchetta' by Rush off of the 'Moving Pictures' album and you will hear what I am saying. It's coming..and GM and the rest of them are just scratching the surface on this new way. Tesla is the new way...these guys are not fooling around with this stuff....300 miles on a single charge? A 4 passenger sedan that does 80 miles an hour? For $50K? This is radical stuff!! And it will only improve with time...see ya internal combustion engines. The interesting thing will be to see if the major current players in automobiles and fuel delivery try to corner this new market. Will BP try to corner the electric market in the US? Will CommonWealth Edison in the MidWest attempt to set up 'Power Stations'?
These types of things remain to be seen... I suspect it'll take 10 to 15 years for these facts to bare out, that's my guess....I could see the Energizer Bunny becoming the symbol of transportion...forget about the
cell phones and such.....
