oo I want the mini that is in the background.. lol

But there is a nice 1998 Jetta TDI I am kinda looking at.The owner is the second owner and its been his daily for a while, has been running synthetic since day one, timing belt was done 30k ago and has I think another 30k on it(or 50k not sure of the change intervals) has done all the preventive maintenance and junk. I do a lot of high way driving and have been getting a solid 27 mpg on the highway in the benz but there's just something about 40-50 mpg that really interest me

but, the SDL will not go anywhere if I get a TDI.. my parents love the big benz and try to get it from me any chance they get, which I do not object to if I dont need to go anywhere.

So if I can somehow manage it I'll keep both and just have my mom cover at least half of the insurance on the benz and or sell her chevy equinox and get the XM receiver for the SDL..

I would have to seriously get her to not smoke in it... like seriously. I'd have to put a camera and water gun on the dash.

I feel your pain. Im bored with the 280CE, but I still love it. The 76 300D will solve my problem, it will keep me busy for a while.

I think taking a corner at 80mph isnt that safe in a non controlled environment lol.

Maybe you should see what's up with this car; I can't imagine the mileage being accurate, but worth a look.

A 201 with a manual and a M103 2.6 would be a fun car. I have a blast with my 300E...it can MOVE. Now I want a manual one....

I am too big for a W201, my head hits the ceiling and it feels way too small inside.

lol.. im seriously thinking of breaking something just so I can fix it on this car. I do really need to get that rear window channel like replaced and I have the part.. just no time to have the car down for a day or two while its in the shop. I do need tint as well still and do body work and repaint it.. then maybe I can truly say the car is perfect.

Tomorrow I think im going to wash the car and detail it and look at the engine and maybe figure out how to remove things so I can get them painted/powder coated

I might as well call mercedes and see if they still have those plastic skid plates for the car.. if not maybe figure out the mounting and go to town with some sheet aluminum and make my own

So your bordem is essentially caused by the way a luxury liner W126 drives? You want something more sporty? Perhaps move on to a W124....diesel for the economy....or a gasser for the real fun....a 300CE....or a later M104 powered E320.....they are quite nimble, quite exciting to drive, and quite fast. Or go crazy and get a 400E or 500E sportline.....that's sure to get you plenty of tickets, use lots of gas, and wear out tires constantly.

Wait a month until the Don is back in school, and pursuing the next "The Donna". He just needs to keep out of the friend zone.
