Service record surprise
I bought my Fuso FG from Hammer Truck Sales in NC. I knew the truck had been a service truck for a corporation and had been painted green at one time. Some investigation led me to think that it was a Sunbelt Rental truck. For some reason, I googled Sunbelt a few days ago and noticed they had used equipment for sale. I e-mailed the address on the used equipment and asked if they had the service records for my truck, giving them the VIN number. The recipient e-mailed someone in Orlando asking him to send me the the service records. I gave him my address and they arrived by Fed Ex today. Full maintenance records while they owned the truck. Quite a pleasant surprise. It includes oil changes, alternator replacement, seat replacement, lots of tire repairs. Since it does not include any mention of an engine replacement, and I'm virtually certain the engine was replaced, I don't think it includes the warranty work done by Mitsubishi.
But I thought it was quite generous for a huge corporation like Sunbelt to reply to my request and supply me with their records in hard copy.
