You might check on the internet. Cancer being so common in our society. A lot of accurate information is posted.
Sorry it is someone very close to you. So much with any form of carcinoma depends on many things. In both my personal experience and learnings. Try to remember the survival rate has been incrementally increasing over the years on most types.. Last edited by barry123400; 09-11-2009 at 02:02 AM.

Do you know what type of cancer you are dealing with? Whether it has spread to other organs? I hate to be a downer, but this is usually a very aggressive form of cancer and by the time it has been identified it will already have metastasized. I lost a very good friend to stomach cancer about 18 months ago, and learned far more than I wanted to know in the process. Depending on the type of cancer there are programs at several hospitals in different parts of the country trying new protocols that may help. Getting treatment ASAP is critical. Sorry this has happened to your friend, and good luck.
