It's sad when the celebrities you grew up with start dying. When it's the ones that are the same age as you are, that REALLY sucks! He was just two years older than I am. 57 is just way too young to die.

There are so many treatable forms of cancer, yet there's a huge population of adults in the US, with access to preventative healthcare, that have never been tested or screened. It's still shocking, despite what is well know, how many people still smoke in this country.

He was one of those guys who I could never picture getting angry. How sad....

Time for a Red Dawn, Road House & Point Break movie fest.........

Years ago I flew from Dallas to Baton Rouge seated across the aisle from a very attractive blonde. When we unboarded and got inside the terminal, Patrick Swayze was there to meet her and gave her a very enthusiastic welcome. I later learned that the blonde was his wife Lisa Niemi and she was joining her husband on a film location.

He seems to have had a loving marriage and a great life, but his death surely wasn't easy.
