Here's the lowdown on the video of the uniformed individuals in the unmarked car:

"The individuals involved in the 9/24/2009 arrest which has appeared online are law enforcement officers from a multi-agency tactical response team assigned to the security operations for the G20. It is not unusual for tactical team members to wear camouflaged fatigues. The type of fatigues the officers wear designates their unit affiliation. Prior to the arrest, the officers observed this subject vandalizing a local business. Due to the hostile nature of the crowd, officer safety and the safety of the person under arrest, the subject was immediately removed from the area."

brilliant moves. too much power, not enough training or education, IMO.

Took me a while to see it in the video but it does look like 2 cops shoved the lady needlessly. Oakland cops can be sorta over the top at times.

Maybe they should hold the next G20 summit at Kent State. That may be a better deterrent to protesters.

Ah. Well, I was still correct when I said Oakland cops can be over the top, apparently.

It's a tough one, I've met and known good cops but power corrupts.

Gary Larson cartoon.

One of my favorite Gary Larson cartoons is the savannah accident scene where lions are mauling
their antelope kill in the background.

In the foreground a rather officious
uniformed antelope (standing upright of course) is waving on the crowds of
gawking antelope, saying something like " Move along now, move along,
nothing more to see."

(Another one of of my favorites is the huge eye in the side view mirror and the script that says "objects may be closer than they appear")

Well, even though it is a Constitutional right "to peacefully assemble...to address greivances",

Some people would like to slam a car door on their heads, and so they join the Department.

protests are not allowed and must be quashed immediately. see Kent State for further details........

protesters need to learn to do as the rest of us. step out on your front porch in the morning. greet your neighbor and then turn and face towards Washington, D.C. shout "Hail Caesar" at the top of your lungs three times. then proceed on with your day.......

That little shove was mild IMO. You guys have never been to Pacoima. Cops would break up 2 people standing on the street for 10 minutes.

And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both ******s and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.
