Aircraft Identification

Hi!
This aeroplane has flown over my house a couple of times in the past month. I live on Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, UK.

It looks to me like a small passenger jet, but it also looks like it is carrying missiles???

I hope someone knows what it is because it's driving me crazzzzyyyy!!

Here is a bigger version

Looks like a Falcon 10 or 20 with a radar pod...

Perhaps this one:

hehehehe thanks guys.

I wonder who would travel in a plane like that. Would it be the prime minister or maybe special forces? Or some gangster rapper? ha!

Too small for any higher level government users. Here is the Dassault that I would buy.

It appears the planes are owned by a UK firm; Cobham.

Probably private contractor for electronic warfare training. They'll use the pods on the wings to simulate some threat radar system. If there's a naval range or RAF airspace near there, it's just coming and going to go play with them. Nothing really mysterious. The Danes use Falcon jets, I think the Canadians do, too.

Oh boy, now you've endangered everyone who has responded to this thread by divulging that information!

It might be testing airport navigation systems. Years ago there was an old twin Beech that flew all the approaches to local airports in this area once a year to make sure that they worked. The father of a friend of mine used to fly one of these planes on the East Coast.

Interesting. I had an office at a Austin Aero, an FBO at the old Austin airport and when they were certifying the glide slopes for the new airport, the FAA used a King Air C-90 to do the approaches. Austin Aero had the government fuel contract and you never knew what you'd look up and see on the pads...a constant stream of NASA T-38s, T-34 Mentors out of NAS Corpus, Fat Albert, Blackhawks of every shape and form, FAA aircraft, you name it.
