Now THAT'S a Model A!

Sorry if this is a repost, but even if it is, it's worth a second look!

Cool.
Now that's a real "sleeper".

My dad and I detailed a Model A for a exotic motor cars dealership. It was awesome and we topped it at 45 mph haha... Man you really needed to know how the car worked to drive it.. Totally different setup than any cars today... You had a choke lever and all that good stuff..

Even when you look at the engine... So simple.. ahh man... I've always wanted to drive model T though..

Didn't they do a motor for the Vega back in the 70s that made it a worthwhile ride?

There's a guy locally who has designed and is marketing an air conditioning system for Model A's. You have to know what to look for, or you won't see it, but it will nearly freeze you out on a Phoenix summer day. Amazing how you can apply with some modern technology to vintage cars.

I love the juxtaposition of the sound/visual image.

I like a car with a sense of humor.

Wow, what a great idea! That's the way a real performance 4 cyl sounds - no fart can mufflers!

Yeah, really great cars. I remember lusting over them in the show rooms as a kid back in the mid '70's.

The cosworth vega had a great cosworth head on the cheezy vega block. It had stiff suspension and nice seats. It was not a really great performing car but kindof a super vega. There are a lot of them around that people bought and just put in the garage thinking they would be worth a fortune some day.

They are not.

But the engine was the basis for some excellent Midget racing motors for many decades.

A tragic story. The original engine/head developed for Chevy by Cosworth made over 270hp. By the time the dust settled and the car hit the showroom floor it had slightly over 110hp...in a car that cost almost as much as a Corvette. Jeez.

Leave it to GM....

If they had developed the corvair properly it would have blown the doors off any vega out there.

It was a proper design!

What I wouldn't give to borrow that to dive bomb an import night and show them what a 4 cylinder should REALLY sound like.
