It is obvious to me that the White House spin is just that--spin. It is clear that if the dems had swept all three races that the WH would be trumpeting how much it showed support for the Obama program. Since they results are mixed, of course they will deny that there is any significance. All pretty much the way any politican would play it...

Based on the title you chose for this thread, I assume that you disagree with the words that you put in the White House's mouth. You believe that the elections are "key." My question was whether your logic was any different than the logic that you imagined the White House would apply.
