What did Santa bring Y'all?

Feel free to tell us what you received from the Big Red One.
Bonus points if it's what you wanted.

So far the fat jolly one has delivered one starving Ma (now contentedly stuffed with the salmon I grilled with a light mustard sauce while the pups (see following) threatened to explode), 3 exploding pups (all of whom thankfully waited just long enough for me to get them outside before exploding) who rapidly converted into starving pup mode following their romp in the snow (all now contentedly stuffed with their various varieties of kibble), and 7 starving cats (pretty much a permanent condition, if you ask them - but at least they're temporarily quieted by way of their usual morning stuffing).

Special morning treat to all 10 of the critters was the ritualistic sharing of the salmon skin. Pretty sure it's the first time I've seen a 20 pound cat respond to "sit."

Bestest present of all was a soft and precious hug from my still snuggled up in the warm blankets of our bed Darling Wife. Gimmie the bonus points CH - that there is all I could ever want.

A Taurus 1911 chambered in 45acp

I was a little upset with the wife for getting me that, until she told me what she paid for it About 1/10 the new price.
I made a very nice target stand for my wife, so next week we can hit the range and see how this thing handles along with sending some Russian military surplus ammo out in a hurry.

Since I am the local representative of Santa, I do the giving.

Someone got some money
Another got a nice Mercedes-Benz watch by Tourneau
Another got a genuine WW II Luftwaffe Dragon Squadron wrist watch
Another got tires
Another got the bills paid

I'm still looking for an reasonably priced video movie camera to go with my digital still camera. Am planning a series of YouTube videos on inexpensive, fast microwave meals that are alternatives to junk meals, but that 13-25 ers can make. It's good to know food exists outside of MickeyD and KFC.

Enjoy a wonderful day!!

I got peace and tranquility at home...my wife and kids are at my in-laws' for a week and I stayed home to watch the dogs. I've had 2 pots of black coffee and a handful of stale Lay's potato chips so far, the dogs are back to sleep and it started snowing about 90 minutes ago.

I bought myself a cool 1940s era Tissot swiss bumper drive automatic watch on craigslist the other day, I intend to put a new crocodile strap on that today...after my nap.

Tomorrow my other gift arrives, 1985 Toyota Celica convertible, red(of all things), black top, gray cloth. I traded my Matco rolling cabinet for it. We'll likely be moving in the spring and it'll be a hell of a lot easier to drive a car to the new house than to move a 650 Lb box with 500 Lbs of tools in it.

The twins got a ton of legos, clothes, transformers, bakugan, and army men.

My wife bought me a Cole Haan leather cover for my Kindle.

My wife's present from me is pending. She wants to purchase something herself at one of the after Christmas sales at the mall.

We do x-mas on x-mas eve...the kids go to my ex for Christmas Day. It's been that way since she and I divorced and 20+ years later, it's a tradition.

Just sitting around here piddling with layouts for the impending remodel of MIL's bathroom. If it ever warms up above 45F, I may go out and play with my new (to me) 10' shredder.

Got a neat book on windmills, a sampler of nice cigars and, best of all, another day with the people I love most.

Well now, I share ramonajim's description, I cannot improve upon that.

However Ol' Santa brung me a nice 1899 Conn New York Wonder cornet to replace one that was stolen on a gig years ago. I'm holding it next to my other axes on the workbench.

Many players consider the Wonder as the ne plus ultra of cornet evolution as their careful construction, rigid testing, superior materials, purity of tone, flexibility and ease of slotting and lightweight have never, if at all been equalled.
So much so that I once did a blind sound test with some well known studio horn players and they pronounced it superior to Bach and Schilke cornets, which are essentially copies of late 19th,century practice anyway.
